Today, after conducting an internal vote among staff members, project supporters (Canonically VIPs), and server hosts, we made the decision to ban Discord user rutt14. While some voted against the ban, the majority (2/3) voted in favour.
This serves as a reminder that users who contribute to a toxic environment and disrupt meaningful discussions on our Discord server may be banned.
Why was rutt14 banned?
- He was previously banned for openly encouraging the use of pirated copies of the game.
- He frequently expressed hostility towards the project, especially after we introduced in-game ownership checks.
- His persistent negativity and frequent presence on the server led to the derailment of discussions, including support requests.
- As one of the most active members of the Discord server, he often misled new users, who mistook him for a reliable source of information.
Ultimately, his behaviour was disruptive to the community.
Our expectations for community members
If you join our Discord server, we expect mutual respect, both towards the team and our policies. We do not distribute game files, and we do not tolerate persistent negativity. If you strongly disagree with our approach, we encourage you to focus your time elsewhere rather than engaging in disruptive behavior.
