IW4x r4500 Update

Hello everyone :wave:,

the latest version of IW4x has been released (r4500). The update will be acquired automatically if you use the AlterWare launcher (Releases · mxve/alterware-launcher · GitHub).

Here is the changelog:

  • Fix crash on startup
  • Fix issue with config string relocation code

IMPORTANT

In this update of IW4x, a new patch has been introduced to relocate an in-game asset known as ‘Configuration Strings.’ It’s important to note that due to the technicalities of this patch, joining old servers will no longer be possible unless they update to version r4500 as well.

Attempting to bypass the server browser by using the ‘Favorite Servers’ tab or direct connection to servers on older versions will result in game crashes. This patch was implemented to enhance overall client stability
